Stuck in the mud

For yesterday's Thanksgiving dinner, we drove my mother-in-law around the back of the house. Or so we tried. Our four-wheel-drive Subaru Impreza got stuck in the wet grass/mud. This is what it looked like in the dark after four adults pushed the car out.



The ground was so wet that the ruts filled with water by this morning...





In the back left of the last photo is the location for our new storage building. We are still in the process of preparing the area. The pile of branches and wood is from several trees - mainly dead trees - that we had to remove.
